Movable Unloading Platforms Shipment to UK

Project Overview

A UK customer purchased 5 sets of mobile hydraulic dock ramps, also named Movable Unloading Platforms, including 2 sets with 2-ton load capacity and 3 sets with 3-ton load capacity. The customer’s warehouse lacked fixed loading docks for container handling. These mobile ramps were manufactured, inspected and stacked as shown in the photo, then loaded into the container for sea shipment to the United Kingdom.

Product Introduction

Movable Unloading Platform is a hydraulic loading ramp without the need for permanent civil construction. It adjusts the platform height by manual hydraulic power. The front lip can connect to truck or container edges directly, allowing forklifts to drive straight into containers for cargo loading and unloading.

  • 2-ton model: Suitable for light goods, small parcels and lightweight pallet turnover.
  • 3-ton model: Designed for standard warehouse pallets and medium-weight cargo. The ramp surface adopts anti-slip checkered plate. Safety chains are fitted on sides. Equipped with moving wheels at the bottom, the ramp can be moved easily by one person. The whole machine is painted with blue anti-corrosion coating and complies with CE standards to meet UK workplace safety requirements.

Project Execution

  1. Requirement Communication The customer operates multiple loading points on site and cannot build fixed dock levellers. They needed flexible mobile unloading ramps. Since their cargo weight varies, they selected two different capacities: 2-ton and 3-ton, to handle both light and medium goods.
  2. Production & Factory Inspection All steel cutting, welding and hydraulic assembly were completed in our workshop. Every ramp passed load testing, lifting function test, hydraulic leak inspection, anti-slip surface, safety chain and wheel check. Final blue anti-rust painting was applied afterwards.
  3. Stacking & Cargo Consolidation Five units were stacked and secured with chains to save container space, just like the stacking status in the workshop picture. We prepared English operation manuals, certificates and full customs documentation.
  4. Container Loading & Delivery Finished products were loaded into the container at factory and shipped by sea to the UK.

Customer Benefits

  1. Flexible multi-site operation The ramp can be moved to different containers and trucks. Multiple loading spots can share one unit, no need to renovate the original warehouse floor.
  2. Reasonable capacity matching 2-ton ramps for light cargo and 3-ton ramps for regular pallet goods. This selection avoids over-specification and reduces procurement cost.
  3. Higher loading efficiency Forklifts can enter containers directly. Manual cargo handling is greatly reduced, which shortens container turnaround time.
  4. Compliant with local safety regulations CE certified design satisfies warehouse safety standards in the UK.
